Auto DNS Publishing: Step-by-Step Guide for the Setup Wizard

1. Navigate to the Setup Wizard and enter your domain.

2. Configure your DMARC record and click on Next

3.Choose your DMARC record publishing option (either Hosted DMARC or TXT record), then click on the newly added Publish DNS Record button to start the publishing process.

Your domain's DNS provider will be automatically displayed on the screen. In this example, the Hosted DMARC (CNAME) option has been selected, and Amazon Route53 has been identified as the domain's DNS provider.

4. After clicking on Publish DNS record, a modal window will appear to guide you through the Auto DNS Publishing process.

5. The system will analyze your domain and automatically detect your DNS provider.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to authenticate your DNS providers. This example uses the Route53 authentication process, but the steps may vary depending on your domain's DNS provider.

7. Once authentication is successful, the record will be published on your DNS, and you'll see a success message.

Depending on your DNS provider, there may be additional steps required to publish the record.

  1. Once the record is published, you can close the modal window.

  1. Your setup is now complete, and your DNS records are live. Keep in mind that DNS records can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate.

Important Notes

  • Authorization: Some DNS providers require a one-time authorization before records can be published automatically.
  • Record Validation: After publishing, check the validation status within the platform to ensure the record is live.
  • Manual Update: For providers that do not support Auto DNS Publishing, manual updates may still be necessary.

This guide will help you leverage Auto DNS Publishing to streamline your DNS records management, ensuring your email infrastructure remains secure and compliant with the latest standards. For further assistance, please refer to our support documentation or DMARC support at DMARC@tangent.com.
