The configuration steps below is to enable DKIM and ensure SparkPost to pass DMARC alignment check.
- Navigate to your SparkPost portal and select the "Configuration" button.
- Select the "Sending Domains" and click on the "Add Sending Domain" button.
- When clicked, select the "Sending Domain" option.
- Once there, navigate to the bottom of the page and insert your domain name. Click on the "Save and Continue" button. Note: Using a subdomain for this instance is recommended.
- A pop-up will appear where you need to select the domain alignment. There are two options, Strict or Relaxed. Select one option that is most convenient to you. Then click "Save and Continue".
- Once Saved, SparkPost will provide a TXT and a CNAME record that needs to be added with your DNS host provider.
- Navigate to your DNS host provider and entered both records.
- When records have been added, navigate back to SparkPost, enable the checkbox and click on the "Verify Domain" button.
- When selecting "Verify Domain" you will see two popups indicating that both records are setup correctly.
- You can then verify your message is passing DKIM by sending yourself a test message and analyzing the header of the message.
